Come in and try out our NEW Chattanooga Intelect 2! This is our brand new state of the art therapy modality. Shockwave therapy is an FDA approved modality that is VERY effective for treating tendinopathies, chronic sore/tight muscles, trigger points, and MUCH more! It is extremely safe, and has a very high effectiveness even after just one treatment.
Shockwave or ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy) works by delivering focused acoustic sound waves/frequencies into injured tissue, stimulating the body’s natural healing response, acting like a reset button to a failed healing process. These sound waves increase blood flow, trigger cellular regeneration, and break up chronic scar tissue and calcifications that block recovery. The result is reduced pain, accelerated tissue repair, and stronger, healthier healing without surgery or downtime. Shockwave is great at mitigating pain, but minor soreness and inflammation is possible within 24 hours of application.
Cold Laser (Class 3b)
Class 3B laser therapy uses concentrated non-ionizing light energy to penetrate deep into tissue and activate cellular repair at the source of pain or injury. This results in photobiomodulation taking place which boosts ATP production, improves circulation, and reduces inflammation, allowing cells to heal faster and more efficiently. The result is rapid pain relief and accelerated recovery through precise, non-invasive treatment. This is a great therapy to contrast with shockwave.
E- Stim/TENS
E-stim and TENS primarily is used for pain mitigation as well as muscle re-education. This works by delivering gentle electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate nerves and to contract muscles. These signals help block pain messages to the brain, promote muscle activation, and increase blood flow to support healing. The expected result is effective pain relief, reduced muscle tension, and improved recovery using safe, non-invasive electrical therapy.
Manual Adjusting
Kemp Family Chiropractic prides itself in offering the best evidence based manual adjusting in the area!
Manual adjustments use precise, controlled hands-on techniques to restore proper joint motion and alignment. By reducing joint restrictions and improving nervous system function, they help decrease pain, improve mobility, and allow the body to move and heal more efficiently. The result is faster relief and recovery, better function, and long term musculoskeletal health through natural, hands-on care. Chiropractors identify joint restrictions through skilled spinal palpation and movement assessment. Vertebral restrictions account for a large percentage of the conditions we treat, and for years we’ve used precise, highly effective adjustments to restore motion and relieve pain quickly. Our goal is to get you feeling better now, while supporting long-term spinal health and function. We aim for major regression in symptoms after only 1-2 treatments, with full recovery usually occurring after 4-6 treatments for joint restrictions.
Activator
The Activator is a gentle, instrument-assisted adjustment technique that delivers a precise, controlled impulse to targeted joints and is typically used in conjunction to, or in place of manual adjusting. This technique helps restore proper motion, reduce joint restrictions, and relieve pain without high velocity movements just as chiropractic manipulation. It’s a comfortable and effective option for patients seeking very specific adjustments with minimal amplitude.
Kemp Family Chiropractic always completes a thorough evaluation to be 100% certain our patients are safe candidates for manual adjusting. The Activator is especially safe and well-suited for patients who may not be ideal candidates for traditional manual adjustments. This can include older adults, patients with osteoporosis or low bone density, disc injuries, post-surgical spines, and sometimes it is an easy place to start for patients who are new to chiropractic!
X-Ray Imaging
Digital X-ray imaging allows us to see the structure of your spine and joints with clarity and precision. X-rays help identify alignment issues, joint degeneration, disc spacing changes, and other underlying conditions that can’t be detected through examination alone. This information lets us deliver safer, more accurate care tailored specifically to your body and condition. This is also a great way for a patient to visually see, and track their spinal changes throughout their treatment plan!
